Reinventing the Old - Incredible Wooden Mirror

Pixelization is a video- and image-editing technique in which an image is blurred by displaying part or all of it at a markedly lower resolution. It is primarily used for censorship. The effect is a standard graphics filter, available in all but the most basic bitmap graphics editors.

The designer(s) of the wooden mirror have reinvented the idea of pixelization as we know it (i.e. computer/television screens). By using a physical medium instead of representing the image by light they create a sort of interactive sculpture that reacts to passive observers. This is a very innovative way of recreating objects we use every day. While it may not be very useful as a mirror the creation of this may lead to new ways of thinking about how we interact with everyday objects.
